First walk of 2017 in Appin, Happy New Year! Despite the weather which changes minute by minute, the light was amazing, not a soul to be seen and first primula’s found flowering in the woodland walks above the Middle road to Port Appin. Boys loved sluishing through the boggy moss which floats like a pillow over the wet moorland, dog loved chasing the shadows and sniffing the deer trails.
Family walk, 3 generations together and the start of a New Year with the Treehouse.
Winter works all finished and the Treehouse looks resplendid in its new oilings, paint, scrubbing, furnishings and tweaks we have continually added since the summer 2016. We are ready to open the doors to the lovely range of guests, from those wishing to escape for some peace and quiet, sit infront of a warm logfire; those wishing to explore the Fort William or Oban surrounds, by foot or boat; or those like me who like to fill their days with a variety of activities to keep the children happy and enthised with this beautiful countryside.
Tomorrow we walk the Lost Valley at Glencoe, update to follow….
